Hi! We’re the duo behind Blessings Bee Bzzaar, a mother and daughter team (Melissa and Mariam, respectively), buzzing through life with herbs in our hair, honey on our shelves, and a lot of laughter between us. We’re not here to reinvent the wheel. We're just making what we love, sharing what we know, and creating a space where people can come in, breathe out, and feel something shift, even if it's just the tension in their shoulders.

Some of y’all may know us from The Broom Circle, and you might be wondering… what’s the story? Well, like most good stories, it starts with a little chaos, a little heartbreak, and a whole lot of alignment we didn’t see coming.
We didn’t plan on changing things. The relationships in our lives shifted in ways we didn’t expect or necessarily want. But we believe in divine timing. We believe in alignment. And we believe that sometimes the universe gives you a gentle shove (or a swift kick) in the direction of your highest good.

So here we are. New name. Same heart. Bigger wings.

A Mother-Daughter Duo, In Full Neurospicy Glory 🐝

Now, let’s talk about us, because this wouldn’t exist without our weird and wonderful bond.

Melissa (mom) is a Scorpio sun, a tornado of ADHD energy, and the original free spirit in the family. She’s the OG kitchen witch, honey-dipper, chaos coordinator, and warm hug dispenser.
Mariam (that’s me) is a Pisces sun, autistic, gently bossy (okay, sometimes aggressively), and constantly trying to structure the unstructurable.

We’ve kind of flipped roles over the years. I used to be the sensitive little kid who didn’t want to be touched, and she was the mom who just said, “Cool, got it.” Now I tell her what to do all the time and she goes, “Okay, but I’m doing it in a slightly unhinged way because that’s my method.”

We’ve moved a lot. We never really got to pick a design style or a vibe, we just made it work. Now we get to choose what works. And that right there? That’s a blessing.

What We Make (and Why We Make It)

Everything we make, we make for ourselves first. That’s not selfish, it’s sacred. It means it comes from love and need and curiosity.
That includes:

🌸 Herbal-Infused Honeys – Our hibiscus and yerba mate honeys are crowd favorites, and for good reason. Add to tea, warm water, or just drizzle it straight if you’re feeling spicy.
🔥 Blessed Palo – Our honey-dipped Palo Santo, covered in herbs, made with intention and care.
🧂 Magnesium Foot Spray, Shilajit Honey, Lavender-Burdock Blends… The list goes on, and it keeps growing because we keep growing.

We use everything we make. If there's extra, we share it. We’re not here to mass-produce. We're here to make small, intentional batches rooted in curiosity and care.

It’s Not Just About the Products! It’s the People!

We don’t do this for profit margins. We do it for the connections, because that’s where the real wealth is.
We’re located in a medical district, which means we have conversations with people every day who are trying to get to know their bodies again. We always say: talk to your doctor. Check in with yourself. Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all, and herbs aren’t a cure-all. But they are a pathway. And we want to help you walk it, your way.

Why the Bee? 🐝

First of all, Melissa means honeybee. So yes, we’re leaning in.
Bees are cute. Bees are chaotic. Bees have jobs. And not every bee is part of a mega-hive. A friend reminded us that many bees are solitary, one mama and her babies, doing their thing.
That hit us in the chest. That’s us.

But more than that, bees build community by being themselves. They bring what they’ve gathered, they pollinate the world around them, and they leave beauty in their wake. We want that. For us. For you. For everyone.

You Already Belong Here

This isn’t just about us. We see you.
We’ve met so many people who want to start something like this. Who want to make herbal blends, create apothecaries, support their communities, teach what they know.
We’re not in competition with anyone. In fact, we’re excited to share this blog post because we want you to know that you already belong here.

Even if you’ve never bought a thing.
Even if you’re still dreaming of what your apothecary might look like.
Even if you’re just here to read and smile and sip some tea.

You’re in the hive. You always were.

We’ve been on the receiving end of so much generosity, time, knowledge, resources, and we do our best to pass that on. We believe in teaching people what we know, and learning from anyone willing to share. If you do it better than us? Amazing. Please teach us.

This is what the world wants. And we're done dimming ourselves to make that truth easier to swallow. We're in our soft era and our shiny era and our weird and wild and buzzing era. Era era! We trust that our community supports us just as fiercely as we support them.
And that support doesn’t have to look like spending money. Energy is currency. Kindness is a transaction. Connection is priceless. And we feel that from you every day.
