Why We Sell Herbs (And Why We Hope You Will Too)

Why We Sell Herbs (And Why We Hope You Will Too)

At Blessings Bee Bzzaar, we get asked a lot: “Why do you sell herbs?”

It’s a fair question. With all the teas, blends, and potions we could make for you, why would we hand over the raw ingredients? Why would we encourage you to start your own collection instead of keeping it all here under our roof?

Because here’s the truth: herbs don’t just belong to us. They belong to everyone. They belong in your kitchen, in your pantry, in your bathroom cabinet, in your sacred space. They belong wherever you’re living your life.

We don’t want to be the gatekeepers of knowledge. We want to be the spark that sends you home with a jar in your hand and a thought in your mind: Maybe I could build my own apothecary.

And we really mean that. Imagine if every neighborhood had its own little herbalist shop. Imagine if apothecaries worked the way pharmacies do, where if one didn’t have what you needed, another would. Instead of competition, there would be connection. Instead of hoarding knowledge, we’d be creating a web of wisdom and care all over the city.

That’s why we sell herbs. Because empowerment matters more than ownership.

We like to joke that we have the “bad bee” mentality (yes, like bad bitch): teach everyone everything. Share it all. Because when you’re moving from passion, from joy, from genuine curiosity, burnout doesn’t stand a chance. It’s only when you start guarding your energy, protecting your secrets, and clenching too tightly that the well dries up. But when you teach, you flow. When you share, you grow.

And honestly? Most people don’t realize how capable they already are. You can do what we do. You can blend herbs. You can make teas, tinctures, bath soaks, smokes, and salves. We just happen to have the jars and the shelves, but you’ve got the same raw power at your fingertips. You may not believe it yet, but once you start working with herbs, you’ll feel it.

Sometimes in teaching others, we even discover new things ourselves. That’s the beauty of this work. Herbs are alive, they’re always buzzing, always teaching, always offering something new.

So yes, we sell herbs. But what we’re really offering is possibility. A chance to trust yourself. A reminder that healing is not locked up in someone else’s shop, it can live with you, in your home, on your shelves.

That’s why we do what we do. Because if you walk away with a bundle of herbs and the confidence to experiment, you haven’t just shopped with us, you’ve stepped into your own power.

And isn’t that the sweetest medicine of all?

Much Love,

Mariam
