Benefits: Used to fight viruses and bacterial infections. 

Spiritual Uses: Warding from negative energy and evil spirits.

Drawbacks: There are many medications that have Anise in them.  If you are taking them, discontinue use of Star Anise until you are no longer taking those medications.
